Supervisor Targeted Case Manager

Summary:
At Community Alliance, we believe in the potential of recovery for all individuals with a mental health and substance use challenges, and we dedicate our resources to support the journey of each individual we serve. 

The Supervisor of Targeted Case Management will be responsible for supervising the day to day operations and services delivery of the Targeted Case Management. Will  exercises professional judgment and leadership responsibility while directing program personnel in skill development and personal recovery for persons with mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. The C
ase Management program is targeted to the individual and unique needs of the person and ensures specific needs are met by ongoing assessment. 



Duties Include:
Perform supervisory functions, furthering individual and team development and the 
completion of program tasks and responsibilities in an equitable and effective manner, inclusive of:

Communicate the organizational mission, belief, and values, taking proactive steps to 
assure knowledge and understanding of same by all staff supervised.

Participate in the selection of new staff, adhering to organizational processes and utilizing 
professional and program focused criteria for evaluating candidates for hire; participate in 
orientation and training of new staff in a comprehensive and timely manner.

Provide clear performance expectations for all staff supervised on a consistent basis; 
delegate duties, tasks, responsibilities, and caseloads fairly and proportionately among self 
and persons supervised; consistently follow-up on task delegation.

Teach and cross-train staff within scope of licensure, knowledge, and expertise; provide 
opportunities for increased assumption of duties and responsibilities by staff supervised as 
part of ongoing professional development; foster the development and practice of leadership 
skills of individual staff.

Monitor timeliness and attendance of staff supervised, promptly addressing potential 
problem areas; proactively manage staff schedules & time off in a manner which sustains 
maximum program effectiveness, goal achievement and adheres to budgetary parameters
Provide planned and spontaneous supervision and feedback on a regular basis to all staff 
assigned utilizing individual, group, and team conferences; direct observation of work, 
regular staff meetings, and other range of methodologies; routinely document same in a 
timely manner and in accordance with organizational processes and standards.

Supervise documentation within all program and client records, assuring quality and 
timeliness consistent with policy and applicable statutory, regulatory, licensing, and 
accreditation standards. 

Clearly understand, interpret and apply organizational and program policies and procedures 
in accordance with agency standards; demonstrate knowledge and support of policies both 
verbally and by role-modeling consistent policy compliance; actively promote identification 
with, contribution to, and support of the program and organization as a whole


Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified by training and/or experience to function at a high level of independence and professionalism on a daily basis in the performance of position job responsibilities consistent with applicable regulations and organizational and program goals, philosophy, policies, and procedures, including:

1. Masters degree in social work, rehabilitation, counseling or other accredited academic discipline qualifying for licensure in the State of Nebraska and licensure in good standing as mental health professional (LMHP); provisional licensure (PLMHP) acceptable if actively working and making sustained progress toward achieving full licensure), or licensure in good standing in the State of Nebraska as Registered nurse (RN).

2. Demonstrated prior successful supervisory and/or other successful leadership experience of at least one year duration.

3. Advanced knowledge and skills in behavioral health and/or rehabilitation philosophy, service, and behavior intervention/management practices, including training or experience in behavioral health service delivery within community based settings.

4. Demonstrated advanced knowledge of characteristics and needs of persons with serious mental illness, including persons with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders
