PART TIME- Behavioral Health Therapist position open in our Integrated Health Clinic:
This position offers an integrated health care approach built on an array of mental health, primary care, and rehabilitation and recovery services area. We are seeking licensed mental health practitioners (LMHP, LIMHP, PLMHP) to provide therapy in its outpatient services.
  Best fit are individuals with a passion for working with vulnerable populations and comfortable in collaborating with other professionals to empower clients to achieve self-defined goals. Ideal candidates would be dually credentialed therapists, with their mental health licensure (LMHP, LIMHP, PLMHP) and substance use licensure (LADC or PLADC). Will provide assessment, individual, and group counseling to individuals served at Community Alliance. Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary care team to develop and help clients progress through integrated treatment plans that comprehensively address bio-psycho-social needs. On-site licensure supervision provided. Work schedule:  Monday-Friday, day hours.

 


Duties Include:

Duties for Behavioral Health Therapist position in Integrated Health Clinic:

  • Conducts thorough psychosocial evaluations and clinical assessments.
  • Through effective partnering with the person served, and in collaboration with the psychiatrist, members of the Integrated Health team, and others involved with the individual, develop an integrated care plan.
  • Conducts outpatient therapy for the purpose of improving or alleviating symptoms that may significantly interfere with life functioning, with an emphasis on the use of cognitive behavioral strategies and solution-focused interventions.
  • Engages the individual in his/her own recovery and self-management of medical and behavioral health risks and conditions.
  • Actively collaborates with outpatient psychiatrists and coordinates the provision of clinical services with the Integrated Health team and other behavioral health or medical services via the integrated care plan, conducts planned and spontaneous case consultations, and conducts ongoing information sharing.
  • Actively participates in data gathering, quality improvement, and outcomes measurements on an individual consumer and program basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications for Behavioral Health Therapist for Integrated Health Clinic:

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or other related field.
  • Current licensure in good standing in the State of Nebraska as a mental health professional (LMHP, LIMHP); provisional licensure (PLMHP) is acceptable if actively working and making sustained progress toward achieving full licensure.
  • Knowledge of signs and symptoms of mental disorders.
  • Knowledge, training, and/or experience in effectively working with individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and co-morbid physical conditions.
  • Demonstrated clinical decision-making skills appropriate for client’s care and safety.
  • Demonstrated ability in utilizing motivational interviewing and principles of recovery to deliver results-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered care.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to connect, communicate, and effectively work with people from diverse cultural, ethnic, socio-economic, educational, and professional backgrounds, and ability to maintain effective working relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
