Service Technician
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Reporting to Universal Service Solutions (USS) Supervisory Staff, the Service Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, adjusting and/or repairing Metrolinx ticket printing machines in GO Stations across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare ticket machines for daily use.
Inspect machines and meters to determine causes of malfunctions and fix minor problems such as jammed bills, coins or paper tickets.
Test machines to determine proper functioning.
Clean and provide preventive maintenance to parts.
Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness of areas where machinery is worked on.
Maintain records of machine maintenance and repair.
Replace malfunctioning parts, such printers, ink, ticket paper, bill acceptors, coin dispensers, screens, credit card readers, etc.
Troubleshoot, identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine.
Responsible for correct reporting of time, production and material usage.
Open, Manage, and Close trouble tickets from a mobile device.
Implement quality control, accompany with reporting and record keeping procedure.
Coordinate on-hand inventory with warehouse management.
Disassemble and assemble machines, according to specifications and using hand and power tools.
Install new machines in compliance with codes.
Work within high volume public area environments.
Work with urgency, when equipment is down, to maintain production requirements. Which may include on-call shifts during weekends.
All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ontario G license or equivalent required (successful candidate will have possessed their full G license for at least 1 year).
Knowledge of basic office programs (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, Adobe, Internet Explorer).
Ability to work in fast paced, high volume, highly autonomous environment.
Adhere to quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
Must be able to work a flexible/rotating work schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime (covering all shift schedules).
Train and work in various areas of production in response to production demands.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work longer than usual shifts.
Knowledge of advanced office programs (MS SharePoint, MS Project, Primavera).
Experience with trouble ticket programs (Reynolds2Reynolds, SharePoint, ServiceDesk).
Degree/Diploma in Electronics repair or manufacturing.
Experience in the electronic fare collection industry.
