We are looking for talented Event Managers to join our team! Event Managers are responsible for all aspects of the production of events/trade shows, conferences, and virtual events! We serve several exciting markets – such as vehicle fleets, law enforcement, and the professional salon industry. 

Headquartered in Torrance, CA, our associates work remotely from their homes.

We are open to employing new associates in the following states/areas:

• AL, AZ, CA (except San Francisco), CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, MI, MN, MO, NC, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX, WI
  

Pay Info:

• Ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 annualized pay
  
• The pay range is one that Bobit Business Media Inc. reasonably expects to pay for this position; posted ranges do not guarantee, obligate, nor set expectations of an applicant’s wage in the event of hire
  

• Vendor/contract negotiations
• Convention center/hotel liaison
• Budget and expense management: manage costs to approved budget limits; reconcile and code invoices for payment review and processing; logging expenses in cost sheets
• Collaborate with sales teams and keep sales forms up to date as sponsorship features are sold
• Exhibitor/sponsorship management
• Floor plan design/management and allocation of meeting spaces
• Manage and implement the strategic plan for each assigned event, including alliances to be established with industry associations, agencies and exhibiting companies
• Speaker management and logistics - researching and booking keynote speakers, speaker recruitment, working with professional speaker bureaus
• Project manage curriculum to include managing agendas/topics by working directly with sales management, content staff, and board members and/or associations
• Manage participation of content staff in conference responsibilities (speakers, moderators, photographers, etc.)
• Website management – desktop and mobile versions
• Execute the production of event programs and mobile apps and ensure all proper elements and requirements are met
• Service kit production
• Coordinate ordering and approval of all audio-visual equipment needs
• Collateral development – including but not limited to tradeshow passport brochure, show guides, ride-and-drive parking lot floorplan and driving course
• Marketing copy proof-reading and ensuring hyperlink functionality
• Providing superb customer service
• On-site operations and logistics including but not limited to registration desk, attendee and speaker check-in, room sets, audio visual, temp staff labor, etc. (note: must be able to lift 25 pounds)
• Travel and work weekends as needed for on-site event support
• Follow all department and company policies and procedures
• Regular work attendance
• Other duties as assigned or required

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred (marketing, business or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 3+ years recent experience in all aspects of event management
• Strong time management, communication, and leadership skills
• Proficiency in Cvent, Social Tables, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Canva, and FoxIt .pdf graphic design editing
• Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced demanding environment
• Proven track record of excellent project management skills while managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Analytical and methodical thinking
• Diplomacy and professionalism with ability to interact well with everyone up to executives of highest level 
• ExpoCad experience a plus
