Job Description

Wage: $13.00-$16.00 DOE

Responsible for configuring and installing software for IT users’ desktops, laptops and tablets. Involved moving or setting up of hardware, and or workstations. Support of printer/copier/scanner and possibly mobile phone related issues. 

Works in conjunction with the Service Desk as first responder to perform troubleshooting, and resolution of level 1 incidents and requests if necessary. Provides Tier 2 support to IT users for basic software and hardware of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems. Escalates to Tier 3 support when necessary. 

Documents problems and resolutions. May perform basic level end-user training. 

Strong customer service skills are important in this position. Participates in the testing and evaluation of new desktop packages and implements prototypes.

Provides maintenance and support for basic client products, peripherals, network and physical moves. Works on one project at a time as a project team member

Should have demonstrated working knowledge of Windows operating systems, preferably Windows 10, along with Office 2016, and Office 365, basic hardware and software products and problem solving/troubleshooting skills.

Learner/entry level role. Should have completed at least first year of technical program. 

Functions, somewhat independently, under the direction of a Service Desk Technician or Manger of IT.
