Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Signal Processing Engineer to execute MATLAB programming for a simulation-based test bed, and execute analysis of the simulation results, to support the characterization of various receiver algorithms and system design choices (e.g. waveform choices, A/D choices) for different RF threat environments.

The successful candidate will join a group that develops and characterizes potential new methods and signal processing techniques to enable wireless communications in difficult RF environments.

Position Scope/Job Functions
- MATLAB programming and signal processing simulation test bed programmer and analyst. 
- Develop and support of MATLAB simulation-based test bed, testing, and analysis of test results
- Assist in the design, documentation, implementation, organization, display and interpretation of MATLAB simulation tests/data/results using our mitigation MATLAB simulation test bed to include the
- Participate in defining, describing, and implementing MATLAB signal generators and demodulators,  MATLAB functions and batch testing of those generators/demodulators from written reports that express the algorithms to be coded in MATLAB as Linear Algebra expressions and express the channels and interference to be coded in MATLAB as probabilistic expressions (e.g. pdf?s) and communication signal mathematical expressions (e.g. root raised cosine pulses, etc.), and information theory bounding equations and approximations thereof.
Requirements:
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance; Active secret preferred
- MS plus 3 years minimum experience, or BS plus 5 years minimum experience 
- Experience with MATLAB programming
- Experience with signal processing and linear algebra-based algorithms
- Completed math coursework in Linear Algebra, probability, and calculus

Preferred Skills:
- Experience running simulations with the MITLL Interference Mitigation testbed
- Completed engineering course and coursework for digital signal processing class, signals and systems, detection/estimation and communication systems
- Understanding of basic information theory capacity and mutual information bounds
- Experience implementing algorithms from mathematical reports such as conference or journal papers describing signal processing techniques using standard linear algebra notation 
- Completed course and coursework in any of the following: statistics, stochastic systems, optimization, machine learning, and/or information and inference
- Experience writing technical reports, testing reports, user manuals for the code one has written
