Job Description
 Solidus is in need of a Software Developer for design and implementation of software solutions that solve challenges associated with large-scale disasters. For this position,we are seeking a software engineer with Web app development experience in the areas of front-end user interfaces and/or web services, with GIS experience a plus. The successful candidate will join a team that researches and develops technology to aid in the disaster response domain.

Responsibilities include:
-Domains: Software/application design, development, and debugging; web interface; web services; GIS
-Design, develop, and support technical programs utilizing modern software engineering techniques, programming tools, and support processes 
-Participate in defining, describing, and implementing program deliverables/functionalities
-US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance 
-MS plus 3 years minimum experience, or BS plus 5 years minimum experience. Exceptionally relevant experience and education will be taken into account.
-Fluency in JavaScript and Java
-Experience with designing and implementing web applications (especially single page web apps)

Preferred Skills: 
-Front-end web development using a framework such as ExtJS, React, Vue, or Angular
-Experience with designing, building, modifying, and debugging web services
-Familiarity with GIS components such as Open Street Maps and GeoServer 
-Experience with JSON and SQL-based databases 
-Experience with agile development processes
-Experience with Android development
