Job Description
 Solidus is searching for an Engineer to participate in the development of high-energy laser systems. The role will provide support to fiber-laser-based, high-energy laser development efforts. This support will include, but not be limited to, laser construction, experimentation, and laser characterization under supervision of technical staff.
Requirements:
-US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance 
-BS plus 1 year minimum experience
-Custom laser system assembly, integration, and alignment
-Laser system characterization and documentation, including but not limited to, power, beam quality, wavelength, and temporal waveform
-Specifying optics and other components for custom laser systems.

Preferred Qualifications: 
-Experience with large-mode-area splicing.
-Experience with kW-class fiber lasers.
-Labview programming.
-Cleanroom operation and maintenance.
-Laser modeling
-Experience with making laboratory measurements using a variety of diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, optical and RF spectrum analyzers, and imaging sensors
