Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Software Developer to contribute towards the development of real time multi-sensor processing solutions. Under the guidance of staff, the candidate will perform the design,coding,testing and integration of real time multi-sensor processingsoftware.
The successful candidate will join a team that prototypes processor solutions for a portfolio of DoD defense sensor applications and testbeds. These prototype efforts include the integration and configuration of processor hardware, as well as significant sensor control and signal processing software development.  The team exercises the entire prototyping development lifecycle, including hardware/software design, development, test, and integration.  

The core job functions will be:
1)Interpret high-level algorithms and map the algorithms to appropriate processing technologies, such as GPUs or CPUs.
2)Design, code, test, and integrate application-level software for prototype multi-sensor processors.
3)Design, code, test, and integrate system-level software to perform multi-sensor resource management, processor scheduling, and other sensor processing utility functions.
4)Develop, code, test, and integrate hardware interface software (including sensor front-end interfaces) to perform command and control, and I/Q data acquisition.
5)Benchmark and document performance results of software
Requirements:
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance ( Preference will be given to candidates with Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance)
-Acceptable candidate will have a MS with 3 years minimum experience, or BS plus 5 years minimum experience
-Very strong experience in Python with experience in at least one of the following machine learning toolkits
o Keras
o Tensorflow
o PyTorch
o FastAI
o Scikit Learn
-Very strong recent experience in object oriented design
-Very strong recent experience in multi-process / multi-threaded application design / development
-Very strong experience implementing software across heterogeneous computing environments including CPUs and GPUs
-Experience with container technology such as Docker, Singularity or Shifter
-Ability to work in a GNU/Linux environment with comfort at the Command Line
-Demonstrated ability to document software design
-Strong software testing experience 
-Software benchmarking and performance tuning experience
-Strong problem solving skills
-Strong experience with version control, configuration management and integration
-Able to work within a fast moving, small team environment

Preferred Skills:
-Knowledge of C/C++ and experience mapping kernels to GPUs using CUDA
-Knowledge of radar and/or sensor systems such as LIDAR, EO/IR, or HSI 
-Knowledge of digital signal processing techniques and computational methods
