Job Description
Solidus is searching for a System Administrator to perform a variety of Document Management services (OpenText, Confluence, Drupal, SharePoint) and ongoing maintenance for these applications. This role functions as a member of a team which supports mission critical applications in a 24x7 365 environment.

Responsibilities include:
-Administer and support the technologies required to integrate applications running in Linux and Windows environments. Applications include Apache Tomcat, IIS, Oracle, MySQL, SSL,  SAML, Apache Solr, Manifold.
-Remediate and track security vulnerabilities across a wide variety of applications and operating systems.
-Work closely with other sector members to provide technical administrative support to development and user experience teams integrating applications into infrastructure.
-Follow system administration best practices by documenting processes and ensuring current operations are being followed.
-Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation by troubleshooting and remediating production issues.
-Monitor and harden closed environments and provide weekly reporting on system status.
-Support additional technologies as they are adopted by the Laboratory.
-Keep current on applicable technologies and methodologies and provide technical input.

The successful candidate will join a team that provides application design, development, integration and support for collaboration and information management systems to enable enhanced knowledge sharing, information access and integration.
-US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance 
-MS OR BS and at least 1 Certification, and at least 8 years of experience
-Operating Systems: UNIX/Linux (RHEL), Windows Server (all versions),
-Software/Applications: In depth understanding of application integration into Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server database and into Internet Information Server (IIS),Apache Tomcat web servers.
-Security: Broad knowledge of security and the underlying principles such as SSL and TLS required to harden applications and remediate vulnerabilities.  
-Networking Applications and Protocols: Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, SSH.
-Expertise in configuring SSL for transport.
-Experience in SOLR search technologies.
-Ability to configure Drupal in stand-alone and multisite environments.
-Ability to write and automate tasks in one of the following programming or scripting languages: Java, JavaScript, bash, Python PowerShell.
-Understanding of XML and JSON.
-Ability to compile software from source in Linux.
-System hardening and vulnerability remediation.

Preferred Skills: 
-Database Administration in Oracle, MySQL.
-Proficiency in JAVA.
-Document Management experience in one of the following areas, SharePoint, OpenText Content Server.
