Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Cyber Security Engineer who will work with the ISD IT Security teams responsible for the protection of data and systems to maintain the operational readiness of several security related systems.
The successful candidate will join a team that supports numerous IT Security Infrastructure systems that require normal maintenance.  Several lifecycle updates are projected during calendar year 2018 & 2019.  

Responsibilities include:
-Domains: Information/cyber security, vulnerability evaluation, system configuration management, system architecture design, risk management, system troubleshooting. 
-Support, upgrade, and maintain several IT Security related systems. These systems include, but are not limited to, Intrusion Prevention/Detection Systems, firewall, vulnerability scanning, web-proxy, log aggregation, antivirus, email security as well as internally developed solutions. 
-Ensure Cybersecurity processes are incorporated in system design, development, testing, and implementation. 
-Work with the program managers and technical subject matter experts to perform vulnerability evaluation, assist in system architecture design, and risk management using approved security tools. -Develop and provide security metrics to track systems? status, vulnerabilities, risks, and efforts to effect process or system improvements. 
-Coordinate with other security departments and contractors on security-related initiatives and programs. 
Requirements:
-Active Secret Clearance
-MS or BS and at least 1 Certification or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of applicable experience
-Operating Systems: UNIX/Linux, Windows, OSX, VMware
-Hardware: Intel/AMD, Cisco, Dell, Apple 
-Software/applications: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook), MS Active Directory, LDAP, Java, Javascript, SQL 
-Programming Languages: Perl, Python, Shell Scripting, Powershell
-Networking applications and protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, DHCP, SSH, FTP and HTTP/S
-System auditing, hardening and firewall configurations
-Must be enthusiastic, innovative and motivated self-starters able to work independently, or with a group, to achieve program requirements
-Possess strong oral and written communications skills, and must be able to present findings/results to internal and external organizations

Preferred Skills:
-Experience with DoD Networks
-Working knowledge of NIST security controls
-GSEC, GMON, GCIH, CISSP or equivalent certification
-ITIL v3 Foundations experience and/or certification
