Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Cyber System Administrator responsible for scoping, planning/designing, delivering and maintaining systems based on needs/requirements of the team. This includes physical system installation, cabling, and configuration. The ideal candidate should be an experience Linux Administrator that is detail oriented and knowledgeable in configuration management tools/processes, test automation, CI/CD practices, and software development

In this role, you will need to have system administration skills, hardware skills, automation and orchestration skills, and the ability to adapt to the needs of a growing and evolving team. You?ll need to be flexible, motivated, and able to quickly learn new technologies to meet requirements.

Responsibilities Include:
-Playing an active role within the organization on a continuing basis and must be able to adapt and learn quickly. 
-Automation of deployment and testing for an integrated suite of hardware, software, network, and virtualization components that provide unique mission-focused capabilities. 
-Providing technical support to system users, provisioning new systems through automation, updating system configurations, and maintaining system documentation

-US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. Active Secret Clearance preferred
-MS OR BS and at least 1 Certification, and at least 8 years of experience
-Linux system administration
-Install, configure, and support Linux virtualization platforms
-Troubleshoot Linux, application software, physical servers, and storage
-Solid understanding of networking (e.g. switching, routing, and firewalls) and networking services/protocols (e.g. DNS, DHCP, HTTP, etc.), specifically the Linux networking stack
-Design, build, and maintain test environments and automated test suites
-Maintain and provision physical and virtual servers
-Install, configure, and support distributed file systems
-Create and maintain processes, procedures, and solutions
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. 
-Must also possess a love for technical challenges, a desire to constantly learn, and be able to establish themselves as a critical player within a team

Preferred Skills:
-Experience in Ubuntu 18.04 system administration
-Experience with cloud computing environments or virtualization technologies like KVM, VMware, and Xen
-Experience developing automation frameworks using Python, shell, etc.
-Experience with tools such as MAAS
-Working knowledge of Ansible 
-Working knowledge of Ceph and/or GlusterFS
-Working knowledge of Drone
-Working knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes
-Experience with the procurement of hardware and software, including writing requirements, deriving specifications, purchasing, delivery, and sell-off to customer
-Experience implementing security measures/best practices
