Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Software Engineer  to develop real-time radar and EW modeling and simulation functionality for air surveillance and ballistic missile defense applications using MatLab, C, C++, Java, and Python in a Linux/Unix environment. In addition, the candidate is required to work with collaboration tools such as Git, SVN, and standard office documentation tools

Responsibilities will include:
-Identify candidate modeling and simulation algorithms and performs trade analysis leading to detailed algorithm selection
-Plan and execute simulation data collection and subsequent analysis in support of capability assessment and validation
-Interface with subject matter experts to optimize RSS implementation and with developers to identify and correct errors

The successful candidate will join a team that develops radar, communications, and systems technologies for use in future air defense systems.
Requirements:
-US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
-PhD plus 5 years minimum experience, or MS plus 8 years minimum experience
-8+ years of experience developing sensor modeling and simulation software
-8+ years C/C++/Java experience within a Linux processing environment
-8+ years MATLAB prototyping and data processing experience
-Strong oral and written communications skills 
-Excellent time management and organization skills - able to balance multiple deadlines and simultaneous tasks
-Enthusiastic, innovative and motivated self-starter, able to work independently or with a group to achieve program requirements

Desired training or experience in one or more technical areas, including:
-Modeling and simulation of air surveillance sensors
-Monopulse and phased array beamforming, including adaptive digital beamforming
-Random processes and Monte Carlo simulations
-High-range-resolution waveform and pulse compression processing
-Electronic warfare simulation and processing
-Bayesian classification
