Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Software Engineer to participate in all aspects of development and calibration of electro-optical space surveillance systems. Work will involve participating in the design, planning, development, implementation, and testing of real-time and near-real-time system software that support data collection campaigns.

The primary focus will be supporting the software development tasks needed for daytime metrics and STEN IR development program.

Responsibilities Include: 

-Redesign CRATOS grabber process to rapid camera prototyping
    a. Added CameraLink support to CRATOS
    b. Generalize the Grabber process
    c. Integrate IRC812 camera into CRATOS grabber process
-Integrate tracker blob detections and track associations with Quickview2 GUI
-Convert CRATOS from shared memory model to ROSAII implementation
-Integrate ABP with ROSAII; create a Firepond sensor
-Integrate ROSAII into Quickview2
-Support the migration from Debian to RHEL
-Update RHEL Firepond common image to support ABP 
-Support the Firepond to encoder upgrade software development and integration
-Get KStars and video_save working on RHEL
-Complete and maintain RHEL 6.9 deployment.
-Maintenance and Improvements to CRATOS and MOSST software.
-Development of MOSST and CRATOS on RHEL 7.X.
-Integrate ABP into RHEL 6.9 deployment.
-Integrate new EDT frame grabber into CRATOS.

The secondary focus will be supporting Passive RF software development as needed. 
-Use experience in Pyhton/Qt in developing Passive RF Qt displays.
-ABP tracker component integration 
Requirements:
-Active DoD Secret Clearance
-BS + 1 yr, Associates + 2 yrs, or Tech. School Cert. + 3 yrs min experience
-Candidate must have strong knowledge and experience in real-time data acquisition and 
control system development and implementation in a team environment.
-Specific experience with programming user applications and device drivers in C and C++ on the Linux platform is required
-Candidate must be familiar with electro-optics, motion control systems, and digital signal processing. 
-Familiarity with control theory, statistical data analysis, and astrodynamics is beneficial.
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a geographically distributed team are required.
