Job Description
Solidus is looking for a IT Engineer to join a dynamic team rolling out critical functionality to our warfighters in a new Agile/DevOps environment. The selected candidate will stand up virtualized systems utilizing the Pivotal Cloud Foundry infrastructure, in one or more cloud environments including the Amazon Web Services/FedRamp environment. 

Responsibilities:
- Work as part of an agile team.
- Ideate approaches to automation, deployment, and change management for third party systems/applications (treat operations as a development effort)
- Write robust automation  for provisioning, configuration, deployment, operation of third party systems/applications.
- Provide support to customer/users for operational environment.
- Understand customer/user personas and journeys and develop workflows for the fulfillment of these journeys (i.e. requesting access to software, requesting new software, requesting accounts, etc..)


Requirements:
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience working on an agile team (participating in agile ceremonies, prioritizing a backlog and working from that backlog, incorporating user feedback to determine future work).
- Experience (non-educational) developing good software
- Experience with Linux server administration.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, ADFS, SAML/SSO, etc...
- Experience (HANDS ON) with Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Certifications a plus.
- Experience with terraform, ansible, chef, puppet, cloud formation, or similar.
- Experience with containers.
- Experience with BOSH and/or Kubernetes.
- Experience with developing service desk workflows (Jira Service Desk or similar)
- Positive, driven candidates who work well in a team or pair programming environment.
- Candidates who will speak up when the wrong technical direction is being taken.
- Understanding of modern software development methodologies and tooling (continuous integration, version control, modern build systems and dependency management, SAST/DAST)
- Ability to work very closely with users to solve problems.
- Ability and willingness to work closely with team members to resolve problems (our team frequently performs pair programming)
- Demonstrated ability to pick up new skills and technologies and rapidly apply them to solve problems.
