Summary:

Upper Great Lakes Family Health (UGLFH) is seeking a Outpatient School Therapist (LMSW, LLMSW or LPC) to serve as a integral member of the UGLFH care team and serving the students of Copper Island Academy in Calumet, Michigan.

Responsibilities 

  • Provides a full array of behavioral health services to school aged children within a school setting or via telehealth:   
    • screening and assessment
    • care planning and coordination.
    • interventions providing brief, focused prevention, treatment and recovery services.
    • support with persistent illness.
    • additional substance use disorder-related services may be provided if Practitioner has CAADC or MCBAP credentials.
  • Experience maintaining confidential information and adherence to HIPAA and CFR 42 Part 2.

Job Qualifications:
  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • Evidence of basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) credential in accordance with the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP), or eligibility to pursue and willingness to obtain, preferred.
  • If recovering from chemical dependency, a minimum of two years of continuous sobriety immediately preceding the date of hire.
  • Two years post master's relevant experience in a behavioral health field, preferred.
  • Experience providing telehealth services, preferred.
